Thank you FiFi
Thank you Miss Fifi!
Where you can find my home this summer.
My very dear friend, Miss Fifi O'Neill, put me in touch with the creators of these lovely magazines, Shabby Style from France, Country Chic for Italy, and Romantisch Einrichten for Germany.
My home and art work will be in their July issue of Shabby Style, and I will let you all know when the other two features are available this summer.
FIFI O'NEILL, of course you know her, she speaks in a French accent, travels the globe styling beautiful homes, and is the author of Romantic Prairie Style, Romantic Prairie Cook Book and due out soon, PRAIRIE STYLE WEDDINGS.
The new book, like all of her other books, will be a huge success! Prairie style has caught on like wildfire! I love the concept of a clothing line as it is so hard to find pretty, romantic clothing with a vintage feel. It's all just perfect!
Fifi walks to the beat of her own drum. Always Authentic, Always Original, Always inspiring...
How adorable are those boots ah???
Thank you dear Fifi!

Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea
If you are a Downton Abbey fanatic like I am, picking up the new June issue of Romantic Homes magazine is a must! I shot this in the historical Daniel Webster Estate in my home town of Marshfield, MA. Although the magazine doesn't show the outside of the house, it is really stunning with a large wrap around porch, beautiful flower gardens, and breathtaking views from all sides of the house.
I couldn't of had a tea party without my lovely models. Sam, Kate and my niece Nicole. Kate the girl in the middle, made all of the cakes and cupcakes, such talent!
Networking is part of the fun when your creating such an event. I found this fabulous florist in my area who created the most incredible arrangements. The aroma of the roses while we were shooting was staggeringly fragrant!
Thank you Karen LeeFlowers.com (Congratulations on the cover!!!! )

Happy April!
Spring has sprung in New England! I can smell the first scents of Hyacinths, Daffodils, Crocus and Muscarinic growing in my garden. My rose gardens took a bit of a beating this winter but, I am dreaming of the day when their first blooms are brought into the house and made into arrangements.
Look for my article in the July issue of Romantic Homes on decorating with ROSES!
I am back in my studio and painting again. It's been awhile and I must admit I've forgotten how peaceful it is to just paint and think of nothing...My New Years resolution is to paint more, and concentrate on getting back to my roots. I sometimes feel, especially when you have "too many pots on the stove", as I do, that you forget where it all began. For me, its my rose painting. However, I feel the need to stray just a bit and incorporate something other than roses.. Being a self-taught artist, I've pretty much stayed within my comfort zone but I'm feeling the need to challenge myself. I love paintings of old fashion houses, with kids playing in the yard, picket fences and such.. So I think that's a good place to start...
In the meantime, I just painted this old church pew last night. I love the old paint combined with pink roses.. You can find this on my website. www.vintagerosecollection.com
Until next time, Happy Decorating!
